When will
my periods return after a miscarriage?
|
If you have had a miscarriage,
it may take 4-6 weeks for your periods to return. The length
of time it takes will depend on how regular your periods
were before your pregnancy. It is worth seeing your GP for
advice if your periods have not returned after 4-6 weeks and
your cycle was regular beforehand.
Most doctors suggest that you wait three months after a
miscarriage before trying for a baby again. This is to give
you time to come to terms with your loss and for your
menstrual cycle to re-establish itself. |
